We just missed each other!! I was at the Sonnenalp (truly beautiful..and OH, the COOKIES at the nightly turndown!!) on Wednesday through Friday night and then at the Sheraton in downtown Denver on Saturday! What an amazing state.
Our time in Vail (at The Sonnenalp) was truly remarkable!
Our evenings were spent sitting & enjoying the views…sitting & enjoying the weather…sitting & enjoying the fire…sitting & enjoying each other…
It was so peaceful, but apparently there was only so much after-dark “sitting & enjoying” that my boss/uncle could take…so on Thursday evening, he made the executive decision to relocate to Denver for our final night of our retreat.
2 hours later, we checked into the Ritz Carlton Denver and as I realized the tree:people ratio had tipped back in my favor, I knew we had officially rejoined civilization. I tossed aside the workout gear I had been sporting all trip and opted for a top with less coverage/more glitter and took to the town for a night of urban extravaganza!
Several drinks, a couple of lost room keys and a disassembled flashlight later- it felt good to be back in the “city!”
